Northrop Grumman Systems Engineer 4 - Radar Integration and Field Support in Baltimore, Maryland
Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer 4 for integration and field support of AESA Radar products . This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Baltimore, Maryland. Short term travel will be required to support field integration efforts at customer facilities.
The Radar Integration and Field Support Engineer will become part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systemsâ€™ Field Engineering organization, working in a rewarding environment and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, functional management, and program leadership.
Roles and Responsibilities
â€Provide Field Engineering support to the Test Design Engineering organization for system requirements analysis and System Software qualification testing
â€System integration and test of Prime Mission AESA radar systems and scenario generation test equipment utilized for development/sustainment activities
â€Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the radar stimulator components
â€Responsible for scenario generation system final system acceptance
â€Lead field integration and customer support efforts at customer locations
The chosen candidate must be an effective communicator; possess good organizational skills to manage frequent intra-organizational and customer interaction; and be able to work effectively in a team environment and individually with minimal guidance.
â€Bachelorâ€™s degree or higher in engineering or related STEM area with at least 9 years of relevant experience (7 years with a Master's Degree)
â€Experience with radar systems hardware and/or software
â€Experienced with radar system integration including RF and digital electronics and support equipment
â€Willing to travel for short term domestic assignments ranging from a week to as long as 4-6 months
â€Active Secret clearance with less than 5 years since the last investigation and the ability to obtain higher level clearances as well as program specific clearances
â€Familiarity with RF circuit design components and the ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
â-¦Experience with JSF and F22 Radar hardware/software and awareness of mode capabilities
â-¦Experience with MATLAB, C++ and VXworks environment
â-¦Experience interfacing with customer technical and leadership personnel
