Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced and motivated engineer to fill the role of Receiver/Exciter LRU Integration and Test Lead . The qualified candidate engineer will be able to join our dynamic and growing organization and work closely with a diverse and talented team of engineers, developing and integrating innovative and cost-effective Next Generation Receiver/Exciter products. Applicants are expected to apply strong team leadership and advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to contribute to the development and integration of novel Received/Exciter architectures and products. This position will support our Tactical Fighters Business Unit, located in Baltimore, MD .
The candidate should have demonstrated technical expertise, leadership, and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Receiver Exciter and/or Active electronically scanned arrays (AESAs) Subsystems
Highly integrated subsystems including Digital Receiver/Exciter and Antenna Hardware
REX Subsystem requirements (hardware and software) derivation, flow-down, and configuration
Documentation/generation of test procedures, test reports, RF requirements, data analysis, data presentation
REX/RF Hardware Performance Analysis
REX Subsystem Control Design
Embedded real time software and digital systems
Conducting Test Readiness Reviews and/or Design Readiness Reviews
Familiarity with RF subsystem development & analysis tool including Keysight ADS
Comfortable creating RF applications and tools using MATLAB
Lead an integrated product team that consists of cross-discipline team members and stakeholders
Set up and test hardware in a lab/bench top environment
Develop test plans to support engineering development and integration efforts
Executing subsystem and system level testing – both in engineering development and manufacturing environments
Concept development of operation for integration and test activities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 12 years of experience in the areas described in the job description or 10 years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 8 years of experience with a Ph.D.
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance
3+ years of experience working in with RF Hardware
Experience leading a team of engineers and cross-functional stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
Ability to effectively present to engineers/ leaderships/ customers
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Able to multi-task, delegate, and prioritize tasks effectively
Willingness to work on site at our facility located in Baltimore, MD
Preferred Qualifications:
TS/SCI or Special Access clearance a plus
Experience using MATLAB
Experience using Python
Experience with technical leadership supporting REX hardware development and integration
This position is contingent upon transfer of a current Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Salary Range: $179,600 - $269,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
