Northrop Grumman is seeking a high potential employee with a willingness to work in a strategic program environment to gain experience in Project Management. Candidate should feel comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and be willing to undertake a variety of roles and responsibilities with varying degrees of complexity and ownership.
The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to manage the operations of a strategic program area. This not only includes day-to-day operations but also the execution of strategic capital and internal research and development (IRAD) projects that support business area health. The role will require management of the cost, schedule, and performance of multiple projects as well as the ability to help lead a high performing team.
He or she will serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Other tasks could include reviewing status of projects and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing status reports. He or she will assess project issues and develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
BS or BA and 3 years' experience or MS or MA with 1 year experience
Exposure to program office processes and procedures
Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic familiarity with Earned Value and Program Scheduling
Secret clearance with active investigation within last 6 years
Experience using SAP
Experience with BOE tool
Proficiency in MS Excel and Project
Top Secret clearance with active investigation within last 6 years
