The Advanced Concepts and Technologies (AC&T) group of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Project Manager for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs.

Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide, Carbon Nanotubes) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground based radars, avionic radars, and space systems. Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL isresponsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly.

The Project Manager Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and operations management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. The Project Manager will lead and manage engineering projects such as equipment layout, cleanroom construction and installation of semiconductor equipment at Northrop Grumman's semiconductor foundry in Baltimore.

Responsibilities include all aspects of facilities and factory layout for foundry equipment and all aspects of project management including working with and directing contractors/sub-contractors.

The chosen candidate will also develop and apply continuous improvement programs for optimizing existing foundry capabilities.

Minimal travel - one to three short trips per year.

Qualifications - External

Basic Qualifications:

** Must have a Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience (8 years with a technical MS; or with a PhD)

** Demonstrated ability to work with cross organizational teams such as Equipment Engineering, Operations and Facilities Engineering as well as Maintenance.

** Proven track record managing strategic projects from inception through completion; including financial, risk and schedule management

** Experience leading cross-department teams with a common goal

** Experience managing and coordinating a high mix of contractors and suppliers

** Proven track record messaging to key stakeholders on risks, execution and schedule

** Proven track record with construction planning and execution

Preferred Qualifications:

** Experience with semiconductor clean room design and construction.

** Experience with Architecture and Engineering (A&E) drawing sets

** Experience with AutoCAD design

** Experience interfacing with vendors for equipment specifications

** Experience with a PMO organization

** PMP certification or equivalent certification(s)

** MBA or equivalent business degree
