Northrop Grumman Principal/Contract Administrator in Baltimore, Maryland

Northrop Grumman MissionSystems Sector seeks an experienced and motivated professional for a role of Principal/ContractsAdministrator (Level2or 3) to join its team in Linthicum, Maryland. This position will support the SEWIP Block 3 Program and the Maritime Electronic & Information Warfare (MEIW) Business Unit (BU).

The MEIW BU is looking for a team member to support its challenging, fast-paced, and growing business. This position requires a background in DoD contracting, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.

The Principal/Contract Administrator will be required to deal effectively with competing priorities/deadline and manage multiple tasks. The Contracts Administrator must possess the ability to work well with Program Directors and Business Managers on high-visibility programs, effectively deal with external customers, and meet the goals/objectives of the Business Unit.

General job responsibilities include: Conducts capture strategy, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Advises program team and management of contractual rights and obligations through assessment of regulations, contract terms and conditions, and company policies. Maintains official program records including contractual documents and correspondence with customer. Identified areas of program risk and develops business strategy options for risk mitigation.

Basic Qualifications:

Contracts Administer Level 2 :

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of Business, Law or related work experience

  • Master's degree with 1+ years of Business, Law or related work experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Principal Contracts Administer Level 3 :

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of Business, Law or related work experience

  • Master's degree with 4+ years of Business, Law or related work experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • 3+ years of DoD Contracts Experience

  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARS

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
