Northrop Grumman Missions Systems (NGMS) is a leading provider of secure software-defined, hardware enabled mission systems. Our company is pioneering capabilities in a wide variety of sectors that keep our nation safe from Undersea to Space and Cyberspace.

The selected candidate will mentor and facilitate Scrum teams in Agile principles and Dev*Ops practices. The Scrum Master will be responsible for implementing Scrum patterns, improving velocity, clearing obstacles, and building high performing teams.

This position is open for Baltimore, Maryland .

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Supporting the program's mission with a passion for excellence and agility

  • Accelerating team agility demonstrated through Agile and program management metrics

  • Facilitating Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives

  • Mentoring and supporting the Product Owner, Development Team, and stakeholders

  • Continuous removal of impediments and waste from the system

  • Guiding the creation of the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment

  • Leading Agile workshops such as Product Story Mapping and Backlog Refinement

  • Partnering with Agile experts and diverse leaders for program transformation


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year Agile experience leading Scrum teams

  • Experience with an Agile Management Tool

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access (SAP) clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years Scrum experience leading Agile teams

  • Certification is desired: Scrum Inc Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM 1), DevOps, or similar

  • Solid experience with Atlassian Tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Experience giving tutorials and/or training

  • Experience with transitioning teams from waterfall to agile methods and practices

  • Experience with Extreme Programming

  • Experience with Dev*Ops

  • Experience with Model Based Engineering

  • Servant leader mindset

  • Effective communicator, capable of effectively translating and presenting complex concepts

  • Experience with systems engineering discipline

  • Experience within DoD or Federal government environments

  • Current Security Clearance (Secret)
