Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced cleared professional for a Principal Contract Administrator to join the Advanced Systems Operating Unit (OU) contracts team within the Advanced Mission Capabilities Business Unit. The successful candidate will report directly to the Advanced Systems OU Contracts Manager and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the OU leadership team including program management, business management, operations, capture managers, and other functional teams throughout the OU. This position will be located on-site in our Mission Systems Sector in Linthicum, MD. This position will require someone to be in the office full time (no hybrid work schedule or remote work will be considered)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues; Monitor contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.

  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.

  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.

  • Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submission of invoices, proposals, and data calls.

  • Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years directly related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years directly related experience. Will consider 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS as well as experience with different contract types is required

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively research FAR/DFAR information. Ability to understand regulatory changes and their impact on contracts/subcontracts.

  • Ability to solve a variety of complex problems by referring to policies and procedures as necessary

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with both internal and external customers.

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance with most recent periodic investigation having been completed in the last 5 years.

  • Ability to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions

  • Experience with USG and Prime customers

  • Experience working restricted programs, proven ability to work in closed areas with moderate oversight

Salary Range: $82,400 - $123,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
