Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is has an opportunity for an experienced Mission Assurance Engineer 3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.

Join the high-flying F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program in its Drive For Excellence, and work with our team of experts in developing and delivering Airborne C4ISR systems and solutions that keep our world safe.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Expand your project management experience initiating, planning and deploying high impact improvement projects advancing the F-35 program top strategic priorities to assure Mission Success.

  • Put your creativity and collaborative leadership into solving challenging and complex technical issues across multiple functional disciplines.

  • Apply your data analytics capabilities developing and implementing systems and processes for measuring program Quality performance.

  • Gain exposure and demonstrate your strong communication skills delivering high visibility technical briefings to Senior Executives and Customer personnel.

This high impact position reports directly to the Drive For Excellence (DFX) Manger within the Airborne C4ISR Systems Division.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years in Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance or ProgramManagement in a manufacturing production environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 9 years in Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance or ProgramManagement in a manufacturing production environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to apply technical standards, scientific principles, theories and concepts

  • Experience supporting manufacturing and integration and test, as well as working in an IPT environment.

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement principles.

  • Electronics fabrication, assembly, or testing experience in a DoD environment.

  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer

  • Possess Active Secret security clearance
