The software engineerdesigns, develops, documents, tests and debugs software applications and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Our engineers conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborates (delete the s) with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. The software engineer also computes user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls. The software engineer prepares operating instructions, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. In addition, they will ensure that software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer/Software Engineering

  • 9 years experiencew/Bachelor's degree, 7 years w/Master's, 4 years w/PhD

  • Minimum of7 years' experience in software design

  • Experience with MATLAB, C, C++, VxWorks real-time OS

  • Experience with Embedded Software and Firmware Development

  • Knowledge of Radar Modes

  • Effective verbal and written communication, ability to work in a team environment

  • Secret Clearance required prior to start, U.S. Citizenship is a pre-requisite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer/Software Engineering

  • Minimum of10 years' experience in software design

  • Experience with Visual Basic, MATLAB, C, C++, VxWorks real-time OS

  • Experience with Embedded Software and Firmware Development

  • Knowledge of Radar Modes and Integrating test equipment

  • Technical Lead experience

  • Secret Clearance reviewed within last 5 years
