Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a dedicated Program Quality Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Program Quality Engineer:
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions in problem solving, risk mitigation, root cause corrective action and to ensure quality standards are in place.
Defines, gather, evaluate, and effectively present process and quality metrics to assist with program efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Devises and implement methods and processes for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction and perform independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.
Drives quality outcomes for suppliers and operations.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technical STEM discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience; 1+ Year(s) with Masters; 0+ Year(s) with PhD.
Quality Assurance and Manufacturing experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, US citizenship required.
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, communication skills and confidence to brief senior management.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Green/Black Belt Certified in Lean Six-Sigma.
Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods and techniques.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or equivalent tools for statistical analysis.
SAP familiarity with Quality Notifications, Production Orders and Purchase Orders.
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques
IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) and/or MIL-STD-883 Certified.
Familiarity with IPC-A-600, 620, IPC-J-STD-001, Mil-Perf-38534/35 and Mil-Std-750.
Salary Range: $73,600 - $110,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
