This individual is responsible for coordinating and managing the implementation of process initiatives and technical training across Azusa Engineering and Manufacturing. Responsibilities include leading engineering and manufacturing process development, process management, and process improvement initiatives; leading the development and execution of process improvement plans; leading the implementation of Sector Process Initiatives; facilitating the Engineering & Manufacturing Process Control Board (EMPCB) and the Engineering & Manufacturing Process Group (EMPG); managing our technical training activities and defining strategies for developing critical capabilities for our employees; leading the development and institutionalization of metrics and frameworks for managing and controlling operational performance. Working with the Engineering and Manufacturing leadership team, the successful candidate will also assist in defining strategic objectives and the long-term vision for the organization, and manage a project portfolio for realizing those objectives.

Must be self-motivated; possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple task assignments; possess strong analytic skills; possess strong facilitation skills; possess exceptional interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills; have the ability to assimilate business objectives and transform them into actionable initiatives. Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business need.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 10 years work experience with a minimum 3 years of experience in process improvement methods. (i.e.- Lean/Six Sigma/Agile)

  • Experience working effectively across organizational and program boundaries

  • Experience with AS9100 and Preventive/Corrective Action

  • Experience developing and delivering technical training

  • Ability to obtain and maintaina DoD Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Masters degree in related field with a minimumof 8 years work experience within process improvement.

  • Experience with CMMI model and assessments

  • Lean/Six Sigma/Agile training/certification
