Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking a Systems Engineer ( Level 3 Principal or level 4 Sr. Principal ) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of the Next Generation OPIR Polar Ground program. This position will be located in Azusa, CA or Redondo Beach, CA. This position will be on a hybrid schedule where most of the work will be done on-site, but we can accommodate partial teleworking upon business/program need.
The responsibilities of this position will include:
Support and collaboration with the program Chief Engineer
Review and manage system architecture
Update and maintain system model using Cameo
Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience
Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances: Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in STEM with 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 7 years of relevant experience
Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances: Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Engineering
Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering
Expertise using Cameo
Experience using DOORS
Strong People and Technical Leadership Skills
Excellent communication Skills (upward and downward)
Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
Salary Range: $104,600 - $157,000
Salary Range 2: $129,700 - $194,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
