The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as aSystem Administratorbased out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

Our program has a need for a self-motivated, hardworking Linux System Administrator with expertise creating and maintaining linux systems. The individual needs to be comfortable supporting incremental software deliveries that could require reconfiguration and continuous restructuring/builds of the current infrastructure as new baselines are delivered. The selected candidate will initially be responsible for: Enterprise level automation and management of Linux systems; COTs SW installs; and Security Hardening. The ideal candidate will develop solutions to moderate problems, utilizing ingenuity and general direction or oversight. The candidate must understand how their tasks fit within the overall program goals and perform their work accordingly.

Systems Administration duties include:

  • Configure, administer, and maintain linux systems

  • Maintain configuration management of systems/environments and document processes

  • Make recommendations for solutions to technical problems (e.g., product selection recommendations)

  • Serve as a technical resource within the team with some exposure to customer interface

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision to prioritize tasks

  • Perform updates and patching of systems

  • Configure, administer and maintain computer RedHat Enterprise Linux systems (primarily RHEL6 and RHEL7)

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

BQs for a Linux Systems Administrator 3 are:

  • 6 years' of System Administration experience with a Bachelors; 4 years' with Masters; or 10 years ofIT experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly

  • Background in Linux system administration, particularly RedHat (RHEL 6 and 7)

  • Current Security+ CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+ CE Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II)

BQs for a Linux Systems Administrator 3 are:

  • 10 years' experience with Bachelors; 8 years' experience with Masters; or 14 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly

  • Background in Linux administration, particularly RedHat (RHEL 6 and 7)

  • Current Security+ CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+ CE Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly

  • Scripting skills, preferably python or shell

  • Experience performing system backups, maintaining archives, and data recovery

  • Experience with VMware vSphere

  • Experience with VMware storage technologies (e.g., VMDK, vSAN)

  • Experience with Puppet, Ansible, or Chef

  • Experience with IBM ESS, GSS, GPFS technologies, or similar storage systems

  • Experience with LDAP 389 or RedHat IDM

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) for RHEL 7

  • Current Security+ CE Certification
