The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Sectoris looking for you to join our team as aPrincipal DevOps Engineer based out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

The ideal candidate assists in the design and development of new system capabilities, applications, and solutions for external customer's systems and networks. In particular, the candidate is responsible for maintaining and updating Puppet and Python scripted deployment workflows for the deployment of a large software baseline in test and operational environments. The candidate also tests, troubelshoots, and configuration manages these deployment workflows.

The program is also on a path to migrate portions of its deployment workflow to Ansible. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing this migration. In addition, the ideal candidate may help maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with application developers, support teams, and systems administrators as well as work with other computer/facility support organizations. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment with the engineering users and systems administrators as well as work with other computer/facility support organizations and work well multi-tasking various related efforts.

Support activities may include communicating with end users and customers on potential issues, researching complex technical problems, collecting system metrics and statistics, monitoring application performance and system logs, and supporting the deployment and installation of new software baselines.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

BQ'sfor a Level 2:

  • Bachelors in Science and 2 years of DevOps experience; 0 Years with Masters. 4 years of additional DevOps experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance; willing to submit for and obtain CI Poly

  • Hands-on experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet and/or Ansible

  • Experience with Python and/or Javascript

  • Working knowledge of engineering and software development metrics, processes, and tools

BQs for a Level 3 are:

  • Bachelors in Science and 5 years ofDevOps experience; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. 4 yearsof additional DevOpsexperience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance; willing to submit for and obtain CI Poly

  • Hands-on experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet and/or Ansible

  • Experience with Python and/or Javascript

  • Working knowledge of engineering and software development metrics, processes, and tools

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly

  • A strong understanding of code development and scripting utilizing Python, Ruby, Bash, and Javascript Experience with git version control (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)

  • Current Security+ CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+ CE

  • Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II)

  • Experience with vOrchestrator workflows and/or vRealize Orchestrator 7.4

  • Background in Linux administration, particularly RedHat

  • Experience with VMware vCenter
