TheSBIRS Contractor Logisticsteam at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Orbital Analyst 4 based out of Aurora, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
The Orbital Analyst (OA) in general will engage in the creation of OA products for a multi-billion dollar operational satellite constellation covering five main disciplines: Ephemeris Generation, Collision Monitoring and Avoidance, Station Keeping, Satellite Repositioning and End-of-Life Disposal.
The OA will provide other related logs and relevant data for in-depth analysis, as needed, of orbital precision and other related concerns
Provide Problem Report and Discrepancy report generation in coordination with factory and Site Sensor and Spacecraft TA teams
Provide out briefs on preliminary Starting and Stopping Delta-Velocity/Station-Keeping burn precision assessments from an Ops Crew performance perspective to on-site and factory Leadership.
The OA will provide off-hours/on-call support for OA-related issues, most notably COLA discoveries

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
9 Years with Bachelors; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD or 14 years in lieu of a degree will be considered.
2 years' experience performing orbital determination, maneuver planning and monitoring satellite orbits for multiple SBIRS/DSP assets and experience analyzing collected data
Active TS/SCI security clearance and a current background investigation.
Candidate must have the ability to maintain clearance.
The ability to work and travel between 3 locations in Aurora, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, and Azusa, CA is required.
Experience with upgrade and maintenance of DSP Sensor commanding schedule to de-conflict and arrange system delivery
Ability to develop and implement processes, scripts and tools for installation and deployment of products
Can identify causes of operating system/application software problems and determine appropriate solutions
The position may require the ability to work a continuously rotating shift schedule including weekends and holidays as operations dictate, both on day staff and supporting 24/7 launch operations
