The Remote Sensing Mission Enterprise (RSME) Operating Unit (OU) at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Operations Manager based out of Aurora, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
The successful candidate will report to the Director of the Remote Sensing Mission Enterprise (RSME) Operating Unit (OU) and serve as a key member of the leadership team. This position's primary responsibility is ensuring the organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the operations functions. Working with the management team, the position contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.
The successful candidate will be assisting the RSME Director in multiple activities, and as such, this position requires an understanding of the restricted customer community, program management skills, proven strategic planning and business execution capabilities, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Manager and Business Development Manager, assisting in the oversight of the new business pipeline, ensuring the vision and objectives are clearly defined and communicated in order to expand the business base to achieve long term sustainable growth and support program execution efforts to meet key milestones on schedule within budgeted cost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish & maintain the OU business rhythm. Improve operational systems, processes and policies in support of the OU mission - includes management reporting, information flow and management, business development process and organizational planning
Closely coordinates with Engineering, Mission Assurance, Security, Information Technology, and Facilities to ensure efficient support of OU operations
Partner with the business development and business management teams to maximize investments. Manage NCTA and capital projects and support LRSP planning, and support proposal management activities
Support as needed: oversight of program execution; engage in helping resolve difficult challenges, review business activities, monitor program milestones and adherence to master plans and schedules
Chair and support the various internal and external program reviews throughout the organization
Provide programmatic and organizational leadership to all levels of the organization
Excellent communication skills; verbal, briefing and writing skills.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years progressive technical and programmatic experience in an engineering environment. Non Degreed candidates with 4 additional years of professional exempt experience will be considered.
Current TS/SCI Clearances
Understanding of technical, cost, schedule impacts on a program and be able to adjudicate at a PRAs, ECP signoffs, and assess the technical impacts
Understanding of business development and capture strategies including proposal management
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
5 years of experience in program management or business development positions
Demonstrated leadership ability
Experience in organizational effectiveness and operations implementing best practices
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Excels at operating in a fast pace, diverse environment
Previous Business Development and Capture Management experience
Work in close partnership with all functional areas to achieve the operating unit goals
Ability to look at situations from systems point of view with desire for continuous business growth
