TheNetwork Engineeringteam at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as aNetwork Engineerbased out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

  • Designing and planning network communications systems, providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture

  • Providing specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements

  • Conducting testing of network design

  • Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, bridges, gateways, etc

  • Evaluating and reporting on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

  • Troubleshoot, upgrade and implement improvements to the entire enclave, to include but not limited to,Cisco and Juniper

  • The successful candidate will need good interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to help guide a team as well as work independently and as part of the larger team

  • Candidate must also be a self-starter with the ability to take on complex and challenging tasks with minimal direction, remaining current on emerging technologies trends, while driving for innovation

  • Must be able to work within a group or independently

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • 5 Years of Networking experience and a Bachelor's in Science in a STEM discipline

  • Demonstrated experience workingclosely with other contractors and government customers

  • DOD 8570 compliance

  • Information Assurance Technical Workforce (IAT) level 1 or higher

  • Experience with Cisco switches and routers

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance with a CI Poly

Qualifications for a Level 4:

  • 9Years of Networking experience and a Bachelor's in Science in a STEM discipline

  • Demonstrated experience working closely with other contractors and government customers

  • DOD 8570 compliance

  • Information Assurance Technical Workforce (IAT) level 1 or higher

  • Experience with Cisco switches and routers

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance with a CI Poly

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Command line Linux/Unix

  • Security+ / Network+ Experience with BGP, OSPF, multicast, high availability, firewalls.

  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ASA, and Aggregation Services Routers (ASR) hardware and software.

  • Demonstratedexperience developing and troubleshooting applications on multiple platforms in an enterprise domain.
