Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join the New Moon program supporting the Integrated National Systems Business Unit under the Space ISR Systems Division. The New Moon program is a Major System Acquisition (MSA) providing real-time large scale automatic and interactive processing capabilities supporting the United States Government Intelligence Community. This effort is comprised of an enterprise-wide large-scale software development, deployment and sustainment program. The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) will be required to assist the Program Director manage cost, schedule complex tasks, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, while supervising senior staff who support the program.

The DPM will work closely with the PM to ensure smooth execution of the program. The successful candidate:

• Manages the day-to-day program execution focusing on interaction with the New Moon program team

• Provides consistent guidance and clarity around program priorities and activities

• Assesses and consolidates overall progress, status, and metrics on the cost, schedule, performance of the program through communication with the individual project managers and communicate program status and forecast to the Program Manager

• Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, development, and administrative areas

• Supports establishment of key milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program

problems, and recommends solutions

• Engages in the preparation of program-related meetings, proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, and operating budgets

• Supports routine status briefings for Northrop Grumman, Corp and internal/external customers

• Oversees the coordination of the sub-contracting efforts across the program areas working closely with the Supply Chain Manager

• Works with the Operations Manager to ensure collaboration between the business and technical execution of the program

This position will be located in Aurora, CO and reports directly to the Program Director.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or minimum 10 years program management experience in lieu of technical degree

• Technical and Programmatic leadership experience

• CAM Experience

• Demonstrated experience in planning, directing and managing the development, implementation and performance of complex software intensive programs

• Demonstrated experience with the management and supervision of employees of various labor categories and skills

• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the highest level of customers and management

• Demonstrated experience leading proposal efforts including short turn opportunities

• An active TS/SCI security clearance w/polygraph is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification

• 10 years leadership and management including hands-on experience supervising teams and managing mid to large scale software development efforts

• Demonstrated thought leadership and innovation with ability to manage robust development programs with conflicting

priorities and deliverables

• Proven ability to lead dynamic teams comprised of highly skilled geographically dispersed individuals and to lead/

manage matrixed teams

• Strong leadership skills and a track record of building high-performance teams, with a particular focus on employee

development, engagement and retention

• Mission knowledge, program and customer experience a plus
