The Northrop Grumman Corporation and New Moon Program is seeking an experienced Technical Supplier Manager. The Technical Supplier Manager will serve as the program face to the supply base within the technology domain as well as provide a link between supply chain and engineering teams for emerging technologies and programs. This position will be responsible for the following:
Lead and foster strategic, tactical and technical relationships between suppliers and Northrop Grumman
Participate in design reviews to ensure design approach does not limit supplier selection or competition
Collaborate with procurement agents and program engineering teams to determine source selection
and structure appropriate contract approaches for development products to achieve objectives of the program while minimizing overall risk to Northrop Grumman
Manage new development /high risk open requirements with suppliers and provide schedule status visibility to programs and engineering team
Support multi-disciplined teams in problem resolution
Engage suppliers on a periodic basis to perform technical reviews, remain current with capability and capacity analysis, and maintain strong relationships to help benefit the organization.
Provide input on program proposals including utilizing suppliers to estimate production recurring costs based on lessons learned from new product development efforts
Participate on multi-disciplined teams to assess and qualify new suppliers and/or capabilities
Regularly monitor and communicate on a regular basis supplier performance metrics (quality, cost, schedule, technical, etc.)
Facilitate program business and technical interchanges with suppliers
Facilitate supplier business and performance review
Implement program-specific objectives and Sector level objectives within the supply base
Monitor overall supply base and industry trends for opportunities and/or risks to Northrop Grumman
Perform technical evaluation of subcontract proposals
Evaluate subcontractor's performance and provide feedback used in award fee determination
This position will report to the NEW MOON Program Management Office. The candidate will have ownership responsibility for the execution of supply chain processes and strategies for a defined set of suppliers and/or technologies within the technology domain. The candidate will be a member of an integrated, multi-disciplined team comprised of experts in subcontract administration, procurement, mission assurance, and software and hardware engineering.
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline with twelve (12) years of relevant experience, Master's degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience, Ph.D. with six (6) years of relevant experience.
US Citizenship required. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance based on current SSBI (within 5 years) is required
Knowledge of software life cycle and software development practices.
Demonstrated expertise with subcontracts and/or engineering management.
Strong verbal/written communication skills.
Possess strong leadership skills including but not limited to: Excellent people skills, Sound judgment, Flexibility, and ability to perform in dynamic environment.
Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g., Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
Experience with SIGINT Systems.
