Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Linux Systems Administrator based out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

This system administrator will primarily be responsible for managing and maintaining the Linux environment, integrating new systems, and responding to tickets submitted by users. Primary tasks will including:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deploy weekly patch updates to Linux machines

  • Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Linux Red Hat (6 and 7) virtual machines

  • Configure user access to VMs and VM pools within VMWare vSphere

  • Create user accounts and administer user privileges within LDAP and Active Directory

  • Assist users and engineers with debugging and resolving issues on Linux servers

  • Respond to monitored alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution

  • Assist with implementation of automated processes or functions to improve daily operations as directed

  • Assist with implementation of technical security technology and IT projects as directed

  • Collaborate in authoring system documentation and procedures

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 6 years' of IT experience with Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or 10 years of IT experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance and Counter Intelligence Polygraph by the start date

  • Strong background in Linux (RedHat/CentOS) administration, VMware vCenter administration, or Amazon Web Services system operations

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II or III certification

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Full Scope Polygraph

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, including Active Directory

  • Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

  • Expertise in storage and backup and recovery

  • Experience in setting up and/or managing PKI certifications
