Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst (Level 2) or a Principal Industrial Security Analyst (Level 3).

This position seeks a motivated, self-starter industrial security officer to support multiple DoD/SAP/SCI programs. The experienced candidate will implement and enforce program compliance with all applicable government industrial security guidelines, contractual security requirements, company policies, and procedures to including evolving customer requirements for several company locations. Primary focus for this position is to perform personnel security functions and associated duties. Administers visitor control, maintains personnel security records, schedules, conducts security education classes, participates in security audits and responds to security alarms as required. The candidate must have outstanding customer service skills that include solid written communication, active listening, empathy, problem-solving, dedication, time and stress management as this is a fast-paced, high-profile portfolio of programs requiring candidates to create, maintain, and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers.

In addition to personnel security duties, the candidate will require experience in executing program security, with knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, physical security, OPSEC etc.). Studies and implements government security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares CONOPS, SOPs, and assists in establishing procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor's access to restricted areas, records, and materials. Conducts security education classes and related briefings. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Working knowledge of DoD 5205.07 SAP Manuals volumes 1-4, ICD 704, ICD 705, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual ( NISPOM ) and/or applicable customer security policies and procedures.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Executes all functions and duties related to personnel security.

  • Conducts indoctrination briefings and debriefings of program personnel.

  • Maintains security database applications.

  • Must be detail-oriented, have meticulous record-keeping, and will be responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets.

  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions.

  • Processes inbound classified visit requests and orchestrates classified visits/meetings.

  • Send Visit Authorization Requests (VAR) for program personnel visiting external locations.

  • Assists with management of DoD and SCIF environments based on experience and knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, personnel security, physical security, OPSEC, COMSEC, etc..).

  • Receives, reviews, and interprets security classification guidance.

  • Administers security education classes and related briefings.

  • Analyzes, investigates, and resolves classified security issues while providing security leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program. Investigates and documents security violations.

  • Information Security; accountability, transmission, marking, reproduction, and disposition of classified information.

  • Monitors security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical and administrative security procedures.

  • Safeguards classified documents, review Security Classification Guides, and ensure compliance with protection requirements.

  • Assists with on-site inspections/assessments required by government regulations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of Security or related experience or Master's Degree and 1 year of Security or related experience. An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substitute for a bachelor's degree.

  • Requires Active Top Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Security or related experience or Master's Degree and 4 years of Security or related experience. An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substitute for a Bachelor's.

  • Requires Active Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SCI / SAP access/experience.

  • Counterintelligence polygraph or Full Scope polygraph (current).

  • Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Industrial Security Certifications, Physical Security and FSO certification(s).

  • Experience utilizing DoD and IC systems of record.

  • Prior program security (Collateral, SAP, or SCI) experience.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to include working with senior leaders/managers, customers, employees, and security personnel; Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Effective written communication skills, report writing, and presentation skills.

  • Classification review experience.

  • Organized and efficient at time management.

  • Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • BS/BA degree (Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field).

Salary Range: $67,000 - $100,400

Salary Range 2: $82,400 - $123,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
