The Integration, Test, and Deployment (IT&D) organization at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Deployment Team Lead based out of Aurora, Co.

What You'll get to Do:

The position reports directly to the IT&D managers and will be part of the IT&D core leadership team. As the Deployment lead, the selected candidate will be responsible for the overall planning and execution for AIM deployment across NEW MOON supported customer Mission Centers. The selected candidate will provide oversight and technical guidance to a team of system deployment engineers to ensure successful deployment of multiple software system baselines. The selected candidate will possess excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with other program organizations. This is a highly challenging opportunity requiring flexibility and commitment. The selected candidate must be broad in their leadership and technical skills, adaptable to a dynamically changing environment, and consistently deliver tasks within budget and on schedule. The selected candidate must have the ability to excel in a diverse government/multi-contractor environment. Demonstrated strong communication skills across a wide variety of situations are a must, including the ability to communicate complex technical topics to mixed audiences to include executive and Senior Government personnel. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating AIM deployment activities across NEW MOON organizations including: IT&D Leadership, all subsystems leads, and task leads for resources, planning, and schedule.

  • Coordinating with the customer and Sites on deployment execution milestones.

  • Supporting program planning activities, program meetings, organizational staffing activities, technical mentoring/training activities (systems engineering, software/systems integration, software/systems test, product delivery/deployment processes, development of effective customer interaction) within the IT&D organization, program board (ERB, DRB etc.) activities as the deployment representative, as well as the program Risk Management activities and process.

  • Short and long term system deployment planning and execution of multiple concurrent baselines.

  • Participating in technical exchange meetings, Site Surveys, Pre-Ship Audits, Pre-Ship Reviews, and providing oversight/guidance covering a broad range of program deliverables.

  • Streamlining deployment processes, procedures, and managing task/resource assignments in support of the overall enterprise vision.

  • Responding to requests from program leadership for ECP/ROM support, staff planning, technical decisions, metrics, and hands-on assistance in quick resolution of technical challenges.

  • Serve as the Deployment representative at selected program and customer meetings, and activities as assigned by the IT&D leadership.

  • Other tasks as defined by IT&D leadership.

A current/active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Systems Test Engineer 4: a B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, or related technical degree with nine (9) years relevant experience; seven (7) years with Master; four (4) years with PhD.

  • Knowledge of the SE lifecycle.

  • Productivity tools including Microsoft Office suite, Rational Clear Quest and/or Jira, MS SharePoint, and private wiki repositories.

  • Successful track record of managing tasks in a dynamic and aggressive environment, and proactively predict success against future schedule milestones.

  • Strong planning and organization skills, yet able to quickly adjust to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.

  • Extensive program and/or heritage mission experience.

  • Experience deploying large, complex operational systems featuring multiple baselines.

  • Strong leadership and verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

  • Strong presentation and documentation skills.

  • Strong mentoring/training skills.

  • Knowledge of NSIS.

  • Current/active TS/SCI clearance.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated quick learner and self-starter.

  • Knowledge of agile software/system development.

  • Knowledge of the use of VMware, virtual machines, and their applicability in an ISP/ASP environment.

  • Knowledge of the New Moon system architecture.
