Northrop Grumman Engineer Systems 4 in Aurora, Colorado

Our growing Aurora, Colorado team is comprised of approximately 700 engineers, developers, technical and business professionals. It is part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems data systems operations. The facility is situated across from Buckley Air Force Base which is home to the 460th Space Wing. The site also sits within a 2 hour drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as several world-class ski resorts perfect for our employees who take advantage of Northrop's flexible work arrangements.

Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineers to join our team of talented, diverse individuals. Responsibilities for this requisition are:

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications Level 4:

  • B.S. degree in Science, Engineering, Math or related discipline

  • Active Secret security clearance (Position is contingent upon final active TS/SCI clearance)

  • 9+ years of experience in overall mission ground system lifecycle development for satellite systems

  • Demonstrated capability to work in team environment

  • Willing and able to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of DOORS

  • Well-developed presentation skills

  • INCOSE certification
