Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Arlington, VA.

The qualified applicant will become part of the Northrop Grumman team supporting the Federal Government in creating a modern, integrated IT solution to enable business processes on current and future application/analytic platforms.

In this role you will be responsible for the development, designing, documenting, and executing of all testing for all enterprise software development/application implementation initiatives. You will coordinate with the development, test, implantation, transition, and O&M teams to make sure proper testing is accomplished throughout the full lifecycle of the application. You will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of your testing team as well as the coordination and preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statement and technical specifications.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's and minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a PhD and minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

  • Minimum of 7 years experience managing large enterprise testing environments

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.

  • Experience evaluating, recommending, developing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading automated test scripts and architectures for application products and a proven ability to write, implement, and report status for system test cases.

  • Proven expertise as a subject matter expert providing testing know-how for support of user requirements of highly complex software/hardware applications, analyzing test cases and providing progress reports.

  • Demonstrated experience directing and/or participating in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development.

  • Extensive knowledge of Agile test methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and one or more Agile certifications

  • Experience with Cloud architected environments

  • 10 years or more experience leading software/hardware test teams on enterprise level applications.
