The Cyber Incident Response Analyst (Watch Officer) 2 position will be located in Arlington, VA.
Performs a critical role in capturing, documenting and correlating cyber incidents, events and requests for information for the DHS National Cybersecurity & Communications Integration Center (NCCIC).
Responsible for coordinating and reporting incidents of significance to NCCIC leadership (NDOs) and for coordinating incident response actions across all components of the NCCIC.
Provides support promptly and efficiently through front-line telephone and email communications.
Coordinates incidents and requests within the NCCIC ticketing system and responds within the established timeline following the processes, procedures and work instructions.
Manages and tracks the life cycle of all incidents and requests reported to the NCCIC, to include open-to-resolve incident management and request fulfillment.
Duties may also include, but are not limited to, to resolve or route issues to the proper entity, update daily briefing slides for delivery to NCCIC leadership, conduct first-line incident triage, and conduct quality control for products being disseminated from the NCCIC.
Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is required. In addition, selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
Demonstrated ability to provide necessary attention to solve different level problems, often multitasking to solve moderate level problems.
Demonstrated experience acting to address current issues, respond quickly and effectively in a crisis, determining future priorities, and leading ad hoc or project teams.
Experience creating staff schedules and develops staffing forecasts.
Must be flexible and able to work within a 24X7X365 support environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:
Current active DHS SCI and EOD.
ITIL Foundations or certificate in related discipline preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office automation solutions.
Experience in using the Remedy Service Management and Knowledge Management System (KMS) a plus.
