The Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test & Logistics (SEIT&L) Department at Northrop Grumman Oceanic is seeking a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Lead. This position is located on site in Annapolis MD.
What You'll get to Do:
In this position you will support complex, dynamic, maritime programs of national strategic importance. This opportunity will allow you to contribute to the development of state-of-the-art oceanic systems, providing exposure to a wide range of advanced technologies, including autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), acoustic and non-acoustic sensors, sensor processing, navigation, platform integration, subsea and maritime surface communication technologies, advanced algorithms, and more.
Successful candidates will perform the following job functions in a team environment:
Lead multi-disciplined engineering teams from business capture through system design and then integration and test of highly complex technical systems
Program scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM)
Perform Risk Management and metric collection and reporting
Prepare SEIT deliverables
Manage systems engineering related staffing needs / requests
Develop content, bring together associate contractor material, and present for reviews (including Systems Requirement Review (SRR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), etc.
Provide oversight and direction to the SEIT team performing the following functions: Requirements Development & Management (using DOORS), Interface Development & Management, Concept of Operations (CONOPS) Development & Management, verification planning, integration & test prep and execution, and qualification closure
All job functions will include close teamwork across functional disciplines and integrated product teams.
Though not required, experience with Navy customers and underwater/naval systems such as torpedoes, towed vehicles, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), SONAR/sensor systems, underwater mechanical structures and cabling, submarine payloads, anti-submarine warfare, seabed warfare, and/or Navy tactics is desired.
This position is contingent upon clearance.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM Field with 14 years of relevant experience, A Master's degree with 12 years of experience or a PhD with 9 years of experience
Demonstrated experience in roles of increasing responsibility in systems engineering
Previous design, integration, and testing experience on a deliverable system
Demonstrated experience in developing/maintaining customer & vendor intimacy
An Current/Active Top Secret clearance with willingness to be submitted for an SCI, and to sit for a CI polygraph examination
U.S. Citizenship required
Experience leading technical teams
Advanced degree in a STEM related field.
Experience with design development for the maritime domain such as torpedo's, towed vehicles, UUVs, ROVs, SONAR/sensor systems, underwater mechanical structures and cabling, or submarine payloads
Experience with Navy operations such as anti-submarine warfare and/or seabed warfare.
Experience in development and earned value management of cost accounts and schedules as related to Systems Engineering tasks
Understanding of the application and development of functional and physical architectures, interfaces, and requirements in large systems, using DODAF/SysML/UML and requirements management tools such as DOORS.
Active TS/SCI clearance

Salary Range: $153,600 - $230,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
