Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Principal/SR Principal Project Manager to join the Next Generation Cybersecurity department in Annapolis Junction. This role will allow you to be part of a dynamic/growing team in Annapolis Junction supporting a critical program.

What You'll Get to Do:

The Project Manager will oversee and manage execution of program operattions supporting the Program Manager. Other responsibilities include, but is not limited to:

  • Responsible for supporting the activities associated with executing, planning, scheduling, communications, satisfying deliverables, technical performance and security compliance of project activities.

  • Interacts with the Program Manager, program team and directly with customer to update and understand project requirements, timelines and resource availability.

  • Provides status and monthly reports regarding the tracking and presentation of project deliverables; performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets.

  • Manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Project Manager level or a S R Principal Project Manager level.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years' or Master's Degree and 3+ years of relevant project management experience (Note: An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree ).

  • Experience supporting program activities using the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • US Citizenship.

  • TS/SCI with current full-scope poly (within last 5 years) to start.

Basic Qualifications for SR Principal Project Manager:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years' or Master's Degree and 7+ years of relevant project management experience (Note: An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree ).

  • Experience supporting program activities using the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • US Citizenship.

  • TS/SCI with current full-scope poly (within last 5 years) to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise operations processes and workflows.

Salary Range: $86,300 - $129,500

Salary Range 2: $107,000 - $160,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
