Northrop Grumman Australia provides the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) with through-life support for its fleet of KC-30A Multi-role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft-a derivative of the Airbus A330-200. The platform is a trusted and proven asset and the program is continually growing in capability and expertise.
Your Role:
In your new role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the frameworks for project cost control. You will prepare variance expenditure report to internal and external customers, and also provide support to shape financial budget and forecast. You will provide insightful financial analysis to enable financial decision makings of the business.
Collaboration is a vital aspect of this position. You will work closely with the Program Leadership team to analyse financial performance drivers and identify trends. Your deep understanding of operational tools, processes, and industry regulations will ensure accurate cost forecasting and recording. You'll also liaise with support groups and cross-functional teams, such as NGA Financial Controller, Supply Chain, and Contracts.
About You:
To excel in this position, you should possess a Business degree with an Accounting/Finance focus and a CA/CPA qualification or in progress. Knowledge of project control practices, including work breakdown structures, budgeting, and financial reporting, is crucial. Project accounting experience is preferred, especially in Government/Defence. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and adaptability to in-house tools like SAP is required. Skills in MS SharePoint, Power BI, Visio, and Project are beneficial. Strong communication, adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential, along with a proactive, can-do attitude for this dynamic environment.
