Description: Key Responsibilities

  • Editing copy and online content for continuity, clarity, accuracy, grammar, punctuation, style, and format

  • Proofreading revisions

  • Supporting Web site development efforts, working with technical architects, programmers, developers, and graphic artists

  • Assisting in instructional design, and performing quality control/assurance checks on training storyboards and Web sites

  • Creating and editing white papers, capability records, and other marketing materials - working with applicable subject matter experts and graphic artists

  • Supporting proposal development

  • Ensuring Section 508 compliance of Web sites

  • Developing style guides for project use


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or similar with 3 years experience or a Masters degree and 1 yr experience

  • 2 or more years of experience with technical writing and editing

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

  • Proficient in MLA, APA, or AP styles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience editing print, web, and social media content

  • Experience drafting content individually and collaboratively for a range of fields and formats (e.g., technical, marketing, academic)

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Captivate)
